I’ve been ignoring this high pitched squeal every time I lightly touch the brakes for the past few weeks and finally my wife refused to ride in the car anymore until I get it fixed lol. It’s a 2020 Santa Fe and the brakes still feel fine stopping wise but the noise is just embarrassing especially in drive thrus or parking lots. I called a couple of places and one quoted me for just the pads while another said I probably need rotors too and honestly I’m not sure who to believe. Thinking I should just get a proper brake pad replacement Abu Dhabi shop to take a look and tell me straight up what’s actually worn instead of upsellling me things I don’t need yet. Has anyone here had similar squeaking that ended up being just the wear indicators and not the rotors? Really hoping I can get away with just pads because money’s a bit tight this month.
